Urby Passport holder – a review

by Last updated Feb 3, 2019Reviews

The trip to Myanmar was special, as we got our passports stamped for the first time during this trip! Well, we have been to Bhutan before, but Indians do not need their passports for travelling to Bhutan. Along with travel preparations, we sometimes give less importance to travel accessories.  I had never given much of a thought to passport holders, but during our trip to Myanmar, I realized that a passport holder could actually be very helpful. I used to keep our passports and the important travel documents just inside my bag and would often be left searching my bag when those documents were needed. So a document organizer is quite needed. So, when were thus quite thrilled to receive the Passport holder from Urby. It would now solve a few of our organizing problems.

Urby Passport holder

Urby Passport Holder

Urby is a brand offering premium products at an affordable price. What interested me was the “Urby Model” where they speak about eliminating middlemen and selling the product directly to the consumers. In that way, the savings are passed on to us, the consumers and we get a premium high-quality product at affordable prices.

I was initially a bit skeptical about the quality of the product. But after I received the passport holder, all my doubts were laid to rest.

What I liked about the Urby Passport Holder

The packing

The packaging was absolutely beautiful. The passport holder was contained in a canvas pouch inside a black box. The packaging was clean and as I opened the drawstring pouch, out came the chic looking leather passport holder.

The quality

I have to admit that the quality of the product is good. They promise of premium quality leather and that is what they deliver. The material is soft and good to touch. The stitching is sturdy as well. The passport can fit into it snugly and there is no danger of the passport slipping out. Along with the passport, there are compartments for keeping cards. You can also keep your boarding passes inside it. Overall, we were satisfied with the product.

Personalization

Yes, you can personalize the passport holder. You can personalize it only for an extra of INR 150. You can use either gold or silver colour for personalization. This is really great as it adds a lot to the passport cover.

Styles and colour

There are a number of styles and colour available at various rates. All the designs are quite chic. The price starts at INR 990 and goes upto INR 2495. Choose the design and colour that reflects your personality.

Final Thoughts

The passport holder offers an impeccable finish and quality. We also liked the fact that there are multiple pockets in the passport holder to keep those important things handy. Overall, we loved the product and see ourselves using this product in days to come.
