Why Should You Apply for A Thailand visa for Indians?

There are many reasons why you might want to apply for a Thailand visa for Indians. For example, maybe you’re planning a vacation to one of Thailand’s beautiful beaches, or you want to take a business trip to Bangkok. Whatever the reason, if you’re an Indian citizen, you’ll need to get a visa before entering Thailand.

The most common reason is if you’re planning to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days. For example, if you’re planning to stay longer, either for business or pleasure, then you’ll need to apply for a visa in advance. You can get a visa from the Embassy of Thailand in India.

If you’re just visiting for a short trip of less than 30 days, then you likely won’t need a visa since there is a visa on arrival available. You can also apply for a pre-approved visa on arrival online before your trip to expedite the process at the airport!

So, allow me to answer some questions you might have:

What Documents Do You Need to Have on Hand for Visa Application?

For most Indian nationals, a tourist visa will suffice. In general, you’ll need to provide the following documents for a Thai visa:

– A completed and signed Thai visa application form

– Their passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Thailand

How Do I Submit My Visa Application Online?

Applying for a visa for Thailand from India on the online portal is easier than you would assume. So, if you’re looking to save time and hassle, you can apply for a Thai visa online.

The Thai government website provides a convenient online application portal where you can fill out an online application form and submit it directly from your computer. Or you can even use apps such as Atlys to easily apply for the visa.

However, remember that on the portal, you can only apply for a Thailand visa on arrival, which means you can get pre-approval for your VOA for the trip.

To apply for a Thai visa online, you’ll need to provide the following documents:

  • A scanned copy of your passport photo page
  • A scanned copy of your passport data page
  • A scanned copy of your passport-size photograph
  • A scanned copy of your bank statement or proof of financial means
  • A scanned copy of your flight itinerary or hotel booking

Once you have all the documents ready, you can complete the online visa application form and submit everything electronically.

After the documents are submitted for the Thai visa, you’ll then need to pay the visa fee and wait for your visa to be processed. The whole process usually takes around 3 business days.

Once your visa application is approved, you must print out your visa approval and use it to enter Thailand.

However, if you wish to apply for a Thailand visa for Indians through the embassy, simply gather the documents, pay the fees, and submit the application at the embassy.

But if you’re looking to save some time and hassle, applying for a Thai visa online is the way to go.
